Dr. Neelanjan Sircar
Neelanjan Sircar is Director at the Centre for Rapid Insights, Artha Global, and a senior fellow at the Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi.
Formerly an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Ashoka University, his research spans electoral behavior, welfare delivery, urbanisation, and environmental and health policy.
He has collaborated with the Andhra Pradesh and Punjab governments on health and welfare issues. His recent book Colossus: The Anatomy of Delhi (Cambridge University Press), co-edited with Sanjoy Chakravorty, analyzes NCR’s structural and social changes using novel data and methods.
Neelanjan’s work appears in journals like Economic and Political Weekly, Perspectives on Politics, and Environmental Research Letters. He holds a B.A. in applied mathematics and economics from U.C. Berkeley (2003) and a PhD in political science from Columbia University (2014).
