Ramit Basu has more than 20 years of experience working in the field of Local Government Reforms , SDG based Decentralised Planning and Environmental Rights based issues.
He has worked with NGOs, INGOs, UN Agencies. Government (Central and State level), Private Sector (Management Consultancy firms) and so on. Although most of his work has been in India, he also has experience of working in a few countries such as Bangladesh, Myanmar, Kenya and Sierra Leone.
He has been involved in Project Design, Project Management, Rapid Assessments, Field Research, Module Development and Training in the field of Local Government and Decentralised Planning, Advocacy, Liasoning with the Government and so on. He has also been Consultant and Member of Committees set up by the Government of India and State Government related to Local Government functioning.
Ramit lives socializing, driving, long distance biking, is an ardent nature lover and believes in what he does and stands for.
