She has a PhD in Physics from the University of Chicago, and a BA in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Cornell University. She is invested in making academic spaces equitable and inclusive, and is active in her efforts to embed ethics and justice in scientific research and achieve representational diversity in race, caste and gender in the physical sciences. Outside the lab, she also likes to cook and hang out in bookstores.
