Dr Adil Hossain is an Assistant Professor at the School of Development, Azim Premji University (APU). He had earlier received his doctorate degree in International Development from University of Oxford as a Merton-QEH scholar on the topic of politics of citizenship in the aftermath of ethnic conflict. At APU he is leading a project on Bengali Muslims and social citizenship in the state of West Bengal in India. He had also worked as a political journalist in India and published in Guardian, Scroll, The Quint, The Wire and other publications.
